I believe as human beings we feel shy to be open to parents as we understand that our parents are source vital information. Therefore I feel like the one to discuss with about sex a fellow peer. Why? This is because we are in the same catigory of understanding as a result common interest and equal goal. We also feel Free to discuss since no offense. We also keep secret as peers.

indeed its fearful to talk about sex and sexuality with parents & health professionals because of the attitudes attached to it.culturally its something which is taken as aprivate issue talking about it which makes young people refraining from diacussing it and fear of being termed sexually active

Yes most of the times it is hard to talk to our parents about sex. But at least we became open to tell our sexual behaviours someone who we dont know like doctors or nurses because they can just get the information about us but can not take it to no one else. And doctors or nurses are secretive people they can hide our identity.
